Phase One: Category C

UNASSISTED DEPLOYMENT

Exit and Freefall: Solo, stable deployment of the main parachute

Canopy: Solo pattern and flare; wing loading; turbulence; downwind landings

Equipment:
Complete orientation (main closed); observe pre-flight gear checks

Emergency review: Open parachute in aircraft; off-airport landings; obstacle recognition and avoidance; turbulence; collapsing the canopy on landing

Written/Oral quiz

Skydives #3 and #4

DIVE FLOW (Jump C-1) must be made on the same day as a successful Category B:

1. Exit at 5,000 feet and deploy your parachute
2. Canopy check, look for traffic around you and executed your planned landing pattern
3. Debrief
