Phase One: Category B

MENTAL RELAXATION, LEG AWARENESS

Skydives #3 and #4

Exit and Freefall: Relaxed body position; arch; practice ripcord pull

Canopy: Assisted pattern; assisted flare written flight plan, review PLF

Equipment: Handle operation and protection

Emergency review: Training harness; deployment problems; partial and total malfunctions; stability recovery; and altitude awareness

Rules & Recs
: SIM 2-1 (students); SIM 5-1 (malfunctions); FAA AC-90-66A (illustration of aircraft landing patterns)

Spotting & Aircraft: Airport orientation and recognition runway and approach incursions; aircraft patterns

Written/Oral quiz

DIVE FLOW

1. Exit (student led) in a relaxed arch
2. Immediately perform a pracice ripcord pull
3. Instructor assisted eployment at 5,000 feet
4. Canopy check, look for traffic around you and execute your planned landing pattern
5. Debrief
