Every AFF Category (A-H4) has the following elements:

Non Method-Specific Training Components
Equipment 15 minutes
Emergency Review 30 minutes
Rules and Regs 15 minutes
Spotting and aircraft 20 minutes
Canopy 45 minutes

Method-Specific Components
Exit and freefall 20 to 30 minutes ground prep
30 minutes actual skydive
15 minutes debrief
Oral/written quiz 15

Components That Vary Depending on Category
Documentation 10 minutes

Additional Elements
Radio Instruction Policies established by the drop zone for all student landings and reviewed with all radio instructors at the year's start, or as new personnel assume radio duties

10 to 15 minutes pre-flight planning with student
5 to 10 minutes radio monitoring/training in the landing area
10 minute debrief
NOTES:

1. AFF, IAD, IAF categories A to E-2, method-specific instructors only, as assigned by the AFF staff and in conjunction with manifest, are responsible for arranging each skydive's timing and staffing.

3. Phase Two categories E-3 to H-4 will be arranged by the conducting member of the instructional rate holding staff in conjunction with manifest.
